TIERRA TACO WAS ESTABLISHED JULY 2020 IN SONORA MEXICO WITH THE PURPOSE OF INTRODUCING PLANT BASED FOODS TO THE CITY OF SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO. IT ALL BEGAN WITH RECREATING TRADITIONAL SONORAN STREET FOODS AND TURNING THEM INTO A DELICIOUS VEGAN VERSION. EVENTUALLY, AFTER TRIALS AND ERRORS, WE MANAGED TO GET IT RIGHT AND LAUNCH FOR THE PUBLIC. BY POSTING AND OFFERING IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA IT BEGAN TO RECEIVE MORE ATTENTION THAN WE EXPECTED SO WE STARTED OFFERING PERSONAL DELIVERIES TO HOMES AND OFFICES.
WITH HIGHER DEMAND FOR VEGAN ALTERNATIVES WE DECIDED TO CONSTRUCT AN ALL ELECTRIC AND ZERO EMISSIONS COMISSARY KITCHEN FOR COOKING OUR FOOD. THAT IS WHEN WE HAD THE IDEA TO OFFER OUR PROTEINS FOR THOSE COOKING AT HOME, SO WE STARTED PACKAGING AND DISTRIBUTING THEM TO MARKETS AROUND BAJA CALIFORNIA AND SONORA.
AFTER A YEAR WE STARTED DOING POPUPS AT THE RESTURANT DOS PANES IN MEXICALI, BAJA CALIFORNIA, AND IT HAD A GREAT RESPONSE WHICH GAVE US THE BOOST TO OPEN OUR OWN AND THE VERY FIRST ALL VEGAN TAQUERIA IN MEXICALI.
IN 2022 WE DECIDED TO MOVE BACK TO LOS ANGELES WHERE WE CONTINUED OUR CAREERS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. AT THE SAME TIME WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE GREAT TO INTRODUCE THIS PROJECT TO LA SO WE BEGAN DOING POPUPS AT PARTIES, MUSIC EVENTS, AND MARKETS.
WITH THIS POP UP WE OFFER THE EXPERIENCE OF TRADITIONAL MEXICAN STREET FOOD WHERE YOU WAIT IN FRONT OF THE STAND, CHAT WITH YOUR FRIENDS, AND SMELL YOUR FOOD BEING COOKED IN FRONT OF YOU.
